Interact Collection Box for Donations for the Homeless

 

I wanted to say thank you to those that already donated to our Interact Students Drive for the Homeless. And to also let the club know that I will again have a box at the Grandstay on Wednesday the 13th and 20th  for any donations that any other club members may have for the Interact project. The Interact Students at AVHS will be collecting items to be distributed to the homeless in the next few weeks in and around the Twin Cities. They are looking for donations of toiletries, healthy snacks, granola bars, energy bars, bottled water, nail clippers, socks, hot hands inserts, backpacks, travel pillows, travel blankets, anything that you feel led to help someone in need. You all have such generous hearts and we appreciate all that you have already given to help our group help others!!!

DAYS FOR GIRLS

The second annual Days for Girls event will be on Wednesday, March 6 from 5-7pm. We'll be meeting at GrandStay. This will replace our normal meeting.

 

We're also accepting donations of:

- Girls' underwear (sizes 8-14)

- 100% cotton and flannel fabric, in dark and wild patterns (please run it through the wash first)

- Soap bars (travel/hotel sized)

- Washcloths

Education is a big deal. We'll create re-usable sanitary kits (no skills needed!) to help girls around the world have the materials they need to manage their periods. Research shows this approach works to keeping girls in school. Let's erase barriers!
