What's New This Week

 

NO MORNING MEETING

Instead, we are headed to the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at the Minnesota Zoo. In order to get a discount price, preregistration was required and we have 63 people signed up to attend the event.  Tickets were previously distributed to those who preregistered.  Please remember to bring your tickets with you!  If you didn't preregister and still want to go, individual tickets are available at mnzoo.org.  Tickets must be purchased on-line in advance.

 
Entrance to the event is timed.  Our tickets show an admission time of 7:30 p.m.  They encourage people to arrive about an hour ahead of the entrance time stated on the ticket.  Therefore, please plan to arrive at the Zoo around 6:30 p.m.  The walk along the Northern Trail to the entrance to the pumpkin trail takes about 10 minutes.  The line for each timed entry will form 45 minutes ahead of the entry time.  The Jack-O-Lantern trail is an additional quarter mile.

IT'S THE FINAL WEEK FOR THE 2019 RAFFLE!!!
 
 
As a reminder you MUST turn in all tickets by Saturday, sold and unsold.  If you will not be at the raffle on Saturday you may drop them by my office. 15322 Galaxie Ave Suite 214 Apple Valley MN 
 
The raffle 10/12 at Apple Valley Ford from 11:00 AM - 1:00PM. Raffle will occur at 1pm. There will be hot dogs etc like previous years.  We will need some Rotarians to help set up starting at 10:30 am.
 
There is still time to get out there and sell your tickets.  See you all on 10/12 to raffle a car!

Weekly Raffle Update
For the meeting of October 16, 2019 there are 46 cards and 2 Jokers. The pot stands at $173!  Ticket donations are: $1 for 1 ticket; $2 for 3 tickets; $5 for 10 tickets; and $10 for 25 tickets. Three lucky winners are chosen each week; the first two tickets drawn win $5, the third winner draws a card from the deck in hopes of pulling an Ace to win a share of the pot.  If a joker is pulled, it will cost the winner a $2 contribution to the pot.  If the Ace of Spades is pulled, the pot is awarded equally to all who have pulled an Ace from the current deck, and the drawing starts over again.
