SPEAKER: Kathryn Archambault, Executive Director & Carla Winder, Program Manager
TOPIC: M.O.M.S Program
We’re all About Making Our Moms Successful!
The M.O.M.S. Program is a nonprofit, faith-based mentoring program designed to equip single mothers with the skills to build and provide healthy, stable homes for their children.
Women are single moms for many reasons and each of their situations are truly unique. When a mom enters into our program, we provide services and support that meet her where she’s at in an encouraging, non-judgemental way.
We know the journey for a single mom and her children can be a challenging one. However, we also know that single moms have many strengths that they can use to take them to the place of self-sufficiency. Sometimes all they need is some additional tools and encouragement to help them on their way. Our program offers:
One-on-One Mentoring: Each mom is matched with a mentor who will walk alongside them in their lives to encourage and support them. Educational Meetings: We offer bi-monthly educational meetings from different speakers that focus on various topics to help our moms on their journey towards self-sufficiency. Goal Plans: Each mom has a goal plan that is tailored towards her specific needs. Connections and Resources: We help our families with referrals to connections and resources in the community. Moms also have access to our food pantry.

For the meeting of May 31, 2023 there are 46 cards and 3 Jokers. The pot stands at $182.00. Ticket donations are: $1 for 1 ticket; $2 for 3 tickets; $3 for 5 tickets; $5 for 10 tickets; and $10 for 25 tickets. Three lucky winners are chosen each week; the first two tickets drawn win $5, the third winner draws a card from the deck in hopes of pulling an Ace to win a share of the pot. If a joker is pulled, it will cost the winner a $2 contribution to the pot. If the Ace of Spades is pulled, the pot is awarded equally to all who have pulled an Ace from the current deck, and the drawing starts over again.
