SPEAKER: Michael Bolsoni, District 196 Superintendent

TOPIC: Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan Public Schools: District Update

Michael Bolsoni has dedicated his entire professional career to the students, families, and staff of the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan Public Schools and has served as School District 196’s superintendent since July 2024. 

Michael began as a teacher at the School of Environmental Studies for his first 11 years in District 196, then spent the next five as a peer leader in the district’s Q Comp Program, working with teachers to improve instruction. 

In 2011, Michael was named assistant administrator to both Valley Middle School and Apple Valley High School. Two years later, he became assistant principal at Apple Valley High, then served as principal from 2016 to 2019, spearheading implementation of the school’s E3 STEM Program and overseeing a significant school renovation project before he was named director of secondary education in 2019. 

In addition to overseeing the district’s middle schools and high schools, as a director, Michael helped develop and present three successful referendum election questions, was part of a team that led the district through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been instrumental in supporting efforts to enhance the district’s American Indian Education Program.

Michael holds a specialist degree in educational leadership from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a master’s degree in education from the University of Minnesota.

For the meeting of September 23, 2026 there are 46 cards and 2 Jokers. The pot stands at $146.00. Ticket donations are: $1 for 1 ticket; $2 for 3 tickets; $3 for 5 tickets; $5 for 10 tickets; and $10 for 25 tickets. Three lucky winners are chosen each week; the first two tickets drawn win $5, the third winner draws a card from the deck in hopes of pulling an Ace to win a share of the pot.  If a joker is pulled, it will cost the winner a $2 contribution to the pot.  If the Ace of Spades is pulled, the pot is awarded equally to all who have pulled an Ace from the current deck, and the drawing starts over again.
