Give Something Back
Give Something Back is a national non-profit organization dedicated to serving youth with significant adverse childhood experiences by providing personal coaching, purposeful curriculum, and educational and support services. Give Something Back empowers students to build resilience, overcome obstacles, and develop a pathway to post-secondary education to achieve a sustainable, meaningful career and brighter future.
Jane Palmer is the Minnesota Program Director for Give Something Back. She has extensive experience in corrections and non-profit management, working with individuals and families affected by poverty, incarceration, substance abuse, trauma, and disability. Her experience includes serving as a county probation officer, Executive Director of the MOMS Mentoring Program, Re-Entry Manager with Prison Fellowship, and Ministry Relations Manager with Joni and Friends International Disability Ministry.
Jane holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Corrections, and a Master of Science degree in Human Services Planning and Administration. She has served on the YMCA and FISH (Individuals and Families Sharing Hope) boards, and currently serves on the Northwest Conference Executive Board of the ECC. She is also a certified trainer for Bridges out of Poverty.
Jane is passionate about working with individuals and families who have been marginalized and live without hope or future vision. She is married to her husband, Hal, and they have three young adult children.
