What Did You Miss!
Good looking group! Rotarians present Will Nagle a $500 check from the Apple Valley Rotary Scholarship Foundation to the Grand Circle Foundation in support of youth education at a local school in Tanzania.
Our fellow Rotarian, Steve Mattson needs us!
Update on Steve. You can leave messages for Steve on his Caring Bridge Site (http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/stevenmattson/mystory) since he can have limited visitors and needs rest at this time. Steve has some memory issues in addition to physical problems. His wife, Mary, has had a series of strokes and also is suffering from memory loss, chronic fatigue, and broken ribs.
Two areas where you can help. Sharon LaComb has graciously agreed to coordinate the help, so please reach out to her at 952-210-0941 (call or text) or at sharonlacomb@gmail.com.
1. Steve and Mary need meals delivered to their home. A sign up sheet will be sent around on Wednesday at Rotary.
2. Both Steve and Mary need rides to doctor visits and/or rehab. A sign up sheet will be sent around Wednesday at Rotary.
Thank you in advance for being generous with your time and resources. And my thanks to Sharon for the coordination and efforts over the past few days to make sure Steve and Mary have the support they need.
Please keep Steve, Mary and their family in your thoughts and prayers.
It is the first Wednesday of the month, which is FoodShelf Wednesday. Bring non-perishable food items to donate: 360 Communities greatly appreciates your support!

You're invited to our annual Apple Valley Rotary President's Dinner
Plan to join your fellow club members for our annual President's Dinner, scheduled for Monday, June 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Valleywood Golf Course. Full of fellowship, fun and entertainment, it's a chance for members to formally thank our outgoing president, welcome our incoming president, thank our Paul Harris Society recipients and honor members who have reached notable years-of-service milestones.
Cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m. with dinner and a program starting at 7 p.m. The cost is $35 per person; all club members, spouses and family members are invited and encouraged to attend. This will replace our weekly meeting for June 24.
Questions? Talk to President Bruce.
June 3 Weekly Raffle Update
For the meeting of June 3, 2015 there are 35 cards and 2 Jokers. The pot stands at $412 +.
Ticket donations are: $1 for 1 ticket; $2 for 3 tickets; $5 for 10 tickets; and $10 for 25 tickets. Three lucky winners are chosen each week; the first two tickets drawn win $5, the third winner draws a card from the deck in hopes of pulling an Ace to win a share of the pot. If a joker is pulled, it will cost the winner a $2 contribution to the pot. If the Ace of Spades is pulled, the pot is awarded equally to all who have pulled an Ace from the current deck, and the drawing starts over again. David Kingsbury pulled the Ace of Diamonds on March 18th and Eva Cheney-Hatcher pulled the Ace of Clubs on May 27th. Both are guaranteed at least 1/4 of the final pot.
