Jamaican Dental Project
We have a Jamaican Dental Project, partnering with Great Shape, Inc.’s 1000 Smiles Program. With a $4000 donation a few years back, we provided 48 new sets of dentures, taught about 4500 grade school students about dental hygiene, and purchased about 1000 school uniforms so students could attend school. Last year, we raised $8000 for this program, which will have a 7-fold match, for a $56,000 impact. In addition to providing further dental care, this will purchase two dental buses to serve those in remote rural areas, and to transport supplies, staff, and patients.
