On February 1^st the Apple Valley Rotary Club participated in the Feed My Starving Children South Metro Meal Pack being held at the former Rainbow Foods. During our two hour shift, we helped to pack 978 boxes containing 211,248 meals which is enough to feed 579 kids feed for a whole year. Thank you to all the Rotarians who helped out!

Rotary gives its members the opportunity to do many volunteer activities in the local and international communities every year. Feed My Starving Children is one of those volunteer events that Apple Valey Rotary participates in every year. And, the side benefit, we have a lot of fun!

SPEAKER: Sal Mondelli

TOPIC: 360 Communities Update

Sal Mondelli was named President and CEO of 360 Communities in May 2012, and has over 35 years of experience in general management, consulting, sales and marketing, organizational development as well as not for profit board membership.

He has been Managing Director Jefferson Wells, EVP Sales and Services for Wausau Financial Systems, President and CEO of Transition Networks, and has held various executive, sales and marketing positions at IBM Corporation.

Sal’s leadership positions on not for profit boards include: Chairman Burnsville Performing Arts Center Commission, Chairman Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, Board Member Greater Twin Cities YMCA, Board Member Make a Wish Foundation of Minnesota, and Board Member Fairview Ridges Hospital.

He received his M.S. in Systems Management from the University of Southern California, and a B.S. from the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, MD.

It's Foodshelf Wednesday - Since we didn't have a meeting last week, this Wednesday, is Foodshelf Wednesday!!! Please bring non-perishable food items to donate. 360 Communities greatly appreciates your support!

February 10 Weekly Raffle Update

For the meeting of February 10, 2016 there are 25 cards and 2 Jokers. The pot stands at $799.

Ticket donations are: $1 for 1 ticket; $2 for 3 tickets; $5 for 10 tickets; and $10 for 25 tickets. Three lucky winners are chosen each week; the first two tickets drawn win $5, the third winner draws a card from the deck in hopes of pulling an Ace to win a share of the pot. If a joker is pulled, it will cost the winner a $2 contribution to the pot. If the Ace of Spades is pulled, the pot is awarded equally to all who have pulled an Ace from the current deck, and the drawing starts over again. Clint Hooppaw drew the Ace of Diamonds on December 2 and Greg Miller drew the Ace of Club on December 23. They are guaranteed at least 1/4 of the pot. Congratulations Clint and Greg!
