What's new this week?

Speaker: Sarah Scheel

Topic: Minnesota's Battle for Bats: Surviving the White Nose Syndrome

Sarah graduated Iowa State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Ecology, with a wildlife emphasis.  Though her passion for wildlife and conservation started at an early age; her career as a Wildlife Biologist didn’t start until college where she worked as a Wildlife Rehabilitator through ISU’s College of Veterinary Medicine.  She has spent the last 14 years in the field working with over 100 different species, including endangered species, in 31 states and 5 countries.

FOODSHELF WEDNESDAY - Bring food items you would like to donate, and Gwen will deliver them to 360 Communities.  The apple will also be passed if you would prefer a cash donation. Remember for every $1 donated, 360 Communities can purchase $3 worth of food from their partners.  360 Communities greatly appreciates your donations!

February 1, 2017 Weekly Raffle Update

For the meeting of February 1, 2017 there are 51 cards and 2 Jokers. The pot stands at $62!

Ticket donations are: $1 for 1 ticket; $2 for 3 tickets; $5 for 10 tickets; and $10 for 25 tickets. Three lucky winners are chosen each week; the first two tickets drawn win $5, the third winner draws a card from the deck in hopes of pulling an Ace to win a share of the pot.  If a joker is pulled, it will cost the winner a $2 contribution to the pot.  If the Ace of Spades is pulled, the pot is awarded equally to all who have pulled an Ace from the current deck, and the drawing starts over again.
