What did you miss!

Thanks to your generosity we raised $6,925 at the Mattson Memorial Horse Auction this Wednesday to support our Christmas Family Project.  From these funds we will be shopping for 50 Dakota County kids and parents in need at Wal Mart on Monday, December 5 from 5 to 7pm.  Please bring your spouse or kids to help in the shopping.

Again thank you for allowing the Apple Valley Rotary Club to make great Christmas's for these local families.  We look forward  to some fun activities as we do this good work!

Rotary Club of Apple Valley

Club Visionary

To help guide the club in the coming years, the club will be going through a visioning process facilitated by district 5950 volunteers.

Anyone interested in being part of this visioning process please send me an email indicating your interest.  Whether you are new to the club or a veteran you are welcome to participate.  To meet the requirements of the facilitators, participation will be limited to the first 25 people that show interest.

We will be looking at an evening sometime in late January or February.  The process will take about 3.5 hours.

If you are interested, let me know and I will keep you informed as plans firm up.

December 7 Weekly Raffle Update

For the meeting of December 7, 2016 there are 30 cards and 2 Jokers. The pot stands at $611!

Ticket donations are: $1 for 1 ticket; $2 for 3 tickets; $5 for 10 tickets; and $10 for 25 tickets. Three lucky winners are chosen each week; the first two tickets drawn win $5, the third winner draws a card from the deck in hopes of pulling an Ace to win a share of the pot.  If a joker is pulled, it will cost the winner a $2 contribution to the pot.  If the Ace of Spades is pulled, the pot is awarded equally to all who have pulled an Ace from the current deck, and the drawing starts over again.  Congratulations Terry Merritt for drawing the Ace of Diamonds!  This guarantees him to win at least 1/4 of the pot!
