Update on International Village Clinic
Dr. Sharah is the founder of International Village Clinic. He earned his undergraduate degree in India, a masters degree at the University of Tokyo and a Ph.D. in engineering physics from Carleton University in Canada. Dr. Sharah came to the US in 1972 where he had a 27 year career with Honeywell and MTS. He took an early retirement in 1999 to establish the International Village Clinic where he spends 6 months of every year helping the impoverished villages of rural India who need primary and preventive care.
The clinic has 2 programs, curative and preventive (nutrition and vaccination). They started with a mobile clinic and now have a three building compound with a hospital and residential facilities. They have eight vehicles enabling them to go to the patients.
