4000 CHILDREN HAVE A BOOK BECAUSE OF YOU !

Thank you for your books, your financial donations, and your hard work to make the Apple Valley Rotary Community Literacy Project a HUGE success! Remember-----

If we were successful collecting 4000 books this year, we should be able to meet a goal of 10,000 books next year! Again, thank you for your generosity and hard work.

Kevin Braun, son of Apple Valley Rotary Club member Robert Braun, received the Literacy Award this morning at the weekly meeting. Apple Valley Rotary club collected 4000 books to donate to the EL and Headstart programs in District 196. Kevin heard about the project and wanted to donate some of his very own books. If this isn't the definition of "heartfelt" giving, I dont know what is. And for his generosity, Kevin received recognition from Rotary.

Raffle Tickets - Only 2 weeks left to sell Raffle Tickets!!!!!

The drawing will be held on October 24 at Apple Valley Ford. The event begins at 1:00pm, Drawings at 5:00pm.

Apple Valley-MN Rotary Club joined forces with Rosemount-MN Rotary Club to purchase a new commercial refrigerator for the Rosemount Family Resource Center. Another example of Rotary giving back to the local communities.

October 7 Weekly Raffle Update

For the meeting of October 7, 2015 there are 41 cards and 2 Jokers. The pot stands at $372.

Ticket donations are: $1 for 1 ticket; $2 for 3 tickets; $5 for 10 tickets; and $10 for 25 tickets. Three lucky winners are chosen each week; the first two tickets drawn win $5, the third winner draws a card from the deck in hopes of pulling an Ace to win a share of the pot. If a joker is pulled, it will cost the winner a $2 contribution to the pot. If the Ace of Spades is pulled, the pot is awarded equally to all who have pulled an Ace from the current deck, and the drawing starts over again.
