What Did You Miss?
Your Fellow Rotarians Sold 41 Tickets and Raised $820 This Weekend.
We were encouraged to sign up to sell tickets at Kelley Park or the Farmers Market. You will have fun, expose our Club to many residents and help meet your sales goal. Most important, you will have a good time and get to know your fellow Rotarians much better.
Alan Player has signed up to bring the Ford Focus to the Music in Kelley Park concert each Friday which is so helpful. I was not scheduled to work Friday night. Nancy and I arrived about 6:45PM for the concert. We learned that Jon Rechtzigel had sold 3 tickets while Tom Goodwin and Alan Player had sold none. Tom Lawell arrived a little later to help. In talking with Jon I asked if he would like to accept a challenge. If he sold 20 tickets that evening I would sell 100 by our July 22 meeting. Sure enough Jon sold 20 tickets. So now he is the super salesperson and my work is cut out for me. Mayor Mary was there to help promote the event and Rotary.
Sat., July 12th at the Farmers Market, Jessica Fields, Tom Goodwin and I sold 7 tickets each giving us a total of 21. Mayor Mary bought a ticket as did former Mayor Will Branning. We had great exposure at both events. Everyone had to know that Rotary was there. Thanks for bringing the car Tom.
Hopefully members have set a high goal for tickets sold this year. I still have 93 ticket s to sell and only seven days to complete the task with appointments I already have.
This was our first big sales weekend. Congratulate the members who made these sales possible.

For the meeting of July 15, 2015 there are 49 cards and 2 Jokers. The pot stands at $112.
Ticket donations are: $1 for 1 ticket; $2 for 3 tickets; $5 for 10 tickets; and $10 for 25 tickets. Three lucky winners are chosen each week; the first two tickets drawn win $5, the third winner draws a card from the deck in hopes of pulling an Ace to win a share of the pot. If a joker is pulled, it will cost the winner a $2 contribution to the pot. If the Ace of Spades is pulled, the pot is awarded equally to all who have pulled an Ace from the current deck, and the drawing starts over again.
