What Did You Miss?

At the December 10, 2015 City Council meeting, Mayor Mary Hamann-Roland and the City Council members issued a proclamation delcaring December 10, 2015 "Steve Mattson Day in Apple Valley" thanking Steve for his service to the city and financial stability of the City of Apple Valley. He brought to the community the Grandstay hotel, was a very community-minded individual and dedicated member of the Apple Valley Rotary Club who gave generously of this time and resources. Steve was a good friend of the city and community and will be greatly missed. The Mayor presented the signed proclamation to Steve's wife Mary and son Andy.

December 23 Weekly Raffle Update

For the meeting of December 23, 2015 there are 30 cards and 2 Jokers. The pot stands at $656.

Ticket donations are: $1 for 1 ticket; $2 for 3 tickets; $5 for 10 tickets; and $10 for 25 tickets. Three lucky winners are chosen each week; the first two tickets drawn win $5, the third winner draws a card from the deck in hopes of pulling an Ace to win a share of the pot. If a joker is pulled, it will cost the winner a $2 contribution to the pot. If the Ace of Spades is pulled, the pot is awarded equally to all who have pulled an Ace from the current deck, and the drawing starts over again. Clint Hooppaw drew the A of Diamonds on December 2 and guaranteed at least 1/4 of the pot. Congratulations Clint.
