Ben Ohlander has been an active falconer for 50 years.  In past years, he has flown many species of hawks and falcons, but for the last thirty years has concentrated on accipiters, primarily goshawks. 

Over the years, Ben has given back to the sport through active participation in several falconry associations.  These include 4 years as Central Director for the North American Falconers Association, President and Treasurer positions with the Minnesota Falconers Association, President of the Nebraska Falconers Association and involvement with the Indiana Falconers Association.

Ben is married to Dixie Ohlander and has two grown sons, Erik and Justin and three granddaughters.  Besides falconry, he spent nearly 40 years as a community banker.  Several years ago, he decided to leave banking to focus on his own business-Reliant Financial Services, that assists the banking community and their business customers with SBA lending.
