What's new this week?
Speaker: Chief Jon Rechtzigel and The Apple Valley Police Department

This week the Apple Valley Police Department will showcase three employees involved with recent initiatives.
Officer Tara Becker will give a brief description of our Assault Review Team which is an effort originating within the ranks to provide an extra review of all assault cases and ensure victim support through referrals and additional officer interaction when appropriate.
Officer Shane Klokonos was recently assigned to the newly formed Dakota County Electronic Crimes Unit and will describe their duties, training, and capabilities.
Also, Sergeant Nick Francis recently returned from the FBI National Academy and will share some of his experiences with us.
April 29 Weekly Raffle Update
For the meeting of April 29, 2015 there are 40 cards and 2 Jokers. The pot stands at $304.
Ticket donations are: $1 for 1 ticket; $2 for 3 tickets; $5 for 10 tickets; and $10 for 25 tickets. Three lucky winners are chosen each week; the first two tickets drawn win $5, the third winner draws a card from the deck in hopes of pulling an Ace to win a share of the pot. If a joker is pulled, it will cost the winner a $2 contribution to the pot. If the Ace of Spades is pulled, the pot is awarded equally to all who have pulled an Ace from the current deck, and the drawing starts over again. David Kingsbury pulled the Ace of Diamonds on March 18th and is guaranteed at least 1/4 of the final pot.
